To qualify as an ESILV engineer is to complete a high-level, general scientific and technological training program that uses digital technology, is internationally aware, and is true to the project-based teaching method.
What is an ESILV engineer? To answer this question, the faculty members draw up a profile of a generalist engineer able to drive digital-led innovation. The French title of graduate engineer is delivered by the CTI and requires validation of the 5-year curriculum of the ESILV engineering school.
Technical projects, engineering majors, international pathways, double degrees, company internships… These are all opportunities for future engineers to tackle the many social and economic challenges they need to prepare for. Here is an overview of the role and key qualities of an ESILV engineer.
ESILV engineer: what the faculty members think
Hello! Welcome to ESILV, a French general engineering school with a focus on digital technology.
An ESILV engineer is a versatile, hard-working, very ” agile ” engineer, open, and ambitious. Generalist in the noble sense, that is, strong scientific skills. He is someone who will easily progress on projects, on everything around him, as technologies change, as positions change. He always strives to develop his skills and the impact he will have in his work.
And another advantage: the project management skill is an important soft skill. It’s very much recognized when they graduate from school, in their first job, and during their first internship. That’ s an engineer who can work well as part of a team.
Someone who can adapt, someone who can digest concepts, who is aware of the societal responsibilities that fall to them. Who wants to make the world a better place, who has well grasped the challenges of digital technologies and who will make his mark on the world. And last but not least, joie de vivre!
