University of Skövde and ESILV: A Double Degree for Global Perspectives
The collaboration between the University of Skövde and ESILV allows students to earn dual Master’s degrees: one in Virtual Product Realization and another in Industry & Robotics.
This program will enable students to study their first year in Paris and their second in Skövde, blending academic excellence with international exposure.
Eliot joined this program because it had the potential to broaden his qualifications and prepare him for global career opportunities. He emphasizes gaining an international perspective, particularly in automation and robotics.
“Experiencing different educational systems, teaching methods, and cultural perspectives has been incredibly enriching. It challenges me to adapt and enhances my understanding of the field, especially in collaborative, international settings,” he notes.
Blending Practical Experience and Academic Excellence
During his time in Sweden, Eliot was particularly impressed by the program’s hands-on approach and emphasis on group work. He highlights how his Swedish studies’ problem-solving and real-world applications complement his foundational knowledge from ESILV.
“One of my best experiences has been collaborating with peers from diverse backgrounds on practical projects. These collaborations have taught me to approach challenges creatively and efficiently,” Eliot explains.
Adapting to Life in Sweden
Living and studying in Sweden gave Eliot unique cultural and professional insights. He describes Skövde as a welcoming city, offering a calm, organized environment conducive to academic success. While the early sunsets during winter were initially a culture shock, he quickly adapted and appreciated the informal yet respectful relationships between students and professors.
“Sweden’s commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness has also been inspiring. I hope to integrate it into my future work,” Eliot shares.
Looking Ahead: the possibilities after a double degree
Eliot’s double degree journey equips him with the skills and experiences needed to excel in automation and robotics on a global scale. Post-graduation, he aims to contribute to innovation in the field by joining an advanced company or exploring entrepreneurial opportunities.
The partnership between ESILV and the University of Skövde exemplifies how dual-degree programs can enhance academic and professional trajectories. These programs enable students to enrich their expertise and gain international perspectives.
ESILV continues to provide its students with pathways to excellence and global impact through programs like these.
