To broaden its educational focus on cyber, ESILV is introducing a new major as part of the Master in Engineering studies at De Vinci Higher Education: Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing. This programme is dedicated to technologies such as AI, the cloud, and software system security and covers key skills in the digital sector.
ESILV is one of the top French engineering schools accepted into the Campus Cyber program, a global hub for cybersecurity innovation. As part of its overall cybersecurity intelligence framework, ESILV initiated a new major. The Cybersecurity & Cloud Computing specialization aims to train engineers to handle the entire software development pipeline, covering both the coding development and the execution environment and the data manipulation of the code.
Empowering cyber education at ESILV with the Cybersecurity & Cloud Computing major
This specialty trains engineer at the cutting edge of the latest innovations in cloud development. This aspect is an industrial issue in France, and there is a lack of engineers capable of dealing with these new challenges.
This applies to all sectors of activity, whether they are in the midst of a digital transition or have already made it. Knowledge of modern development tools is essential, for example, to switch solutions to the cloud. In addition, there is the cyber risk, which is a reality today and unfortunately spares no company, whatever its size.
DevOps engineers are just as comfortable developing solutions as deploying them in the cloud. There is also the job of a security consultant, who needs to assist companies in dealing with cyber risks, and the data engineer.
In today’s business environment, a large part of the development work is manipulating data. For instance, it is impossible to apply any AI without first mastering the data. Therefore, it is essential to know how to use data and secure it. The major is aimed at those who want to develop end-to-end solutions that will improve the productivity of any company and at students who are keen to follow the digital revolutions that are in progress.
