The IT Tour 2023-2024 offers an immersive experience, allowing participants to dive deep into today’s challenges and opportunities in IT. It also fosters the exchanges and collaborations needed to build an innovative and secure digital future.
Engineering schools, including ESILV, have come together to host the IT Tour 2023-2024. In Paris, the IT Tour was hosted at Campus Cyber.
On the programme are discussions, feedback, round tables, and presentations by experts on crucial topics such as artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, data protection, the modernisation of information systems (IS), and their alignment with business needs.
IT Tour 2024: The significant IT challenges and innovations
The main aim of the IT Tour is to create an opportunity for players in the IT industry to meet future graduates while identifying tomorrow’s talent.
Also known as “Le Tour de France de la rédaction du Monde Informatique”, the tour comprises several stops in France, with morning conferences designed to inspire, anticipate major trends and encourage exchanges between participants, Le Monde Informatique journalists, regional clubs and expert speakers.
This year, the IT Tour took on an exceptional dimension with a stopover in Paris at the Cyber Campus in La Défense. It will continue its journey in 2024 with six stops in Toulouse, Nantes, Lille, Lyon and Aix-en-Provence.

The IT Tour in Paris: a tour focused on IT challenges and rapid innovation
The programme included presentations and round tables focusing on IS modernisation and optimisation, automation, the contribution of AI, changing business models and new uses.
The topics covered ranged from multi-cloud management and proactive cybersecurity to data science, acquiring tomorrow’s talent, integrating generative AI, building compliant and trusted IS, automating and optimising infrastructures, and adopting an agile culture.
The special guest: Cédric Villani
ESILV welcomed Cédric Villani as a special guest for this event.
Winner of the Fields Medal in 2010, mathematician, politician and author of the report “Donner un sens à l’intelligence artificielle” (“Giving meaning to artificial intelligence”), he presented a closing keynote, enriching the event with his expertise and unique perspective on AI.
The IT Tour also offered a platform to representatives from prestigious companies such as VMware, La Poste and Abeille Assurances, who shared their testimonials, concrete feedback and best practices in areas such as data foundation & AI innovations, cybersecurity & data protection, IT modernisation and the skills of CIOs aligned with business needs.
