ESILV is opening its doors to international students through the Orientation Days. This initiative is part of the Bienvenue en France label, which aims to improve the arrival experience of international students coming to France.
ESILV recently organized Orientation Days to welcome international students as part of their growing internationalization drive.
What are Orientation Days?
The primary aim of Orientation Days is to offer international students a warm and efficient welcome, enabling them to integrate quickly into their new environment.
The emphasis is on introducing the key people in the educational field and providing essential administrative information. The aim is to make their transition to student life in France as smooth as possible.
An initiative under the Bienvenue en France label
This initiative was made possible by the Bienvenue en France label, which the schools obtained in 2020. The label, orchestrated by the French authorities, aims to make France more attractive to international students.
This label is part of a broader initiative to promote French higher education worldwide by simplifying administrative procedures and improving the quality of the welcome offered.
The school’s International Relations Department organizes Orientation Days. It has established a network of carefully selected partner universities to ensure that programmes match. The department aims to provide international students the best possible welcome, specifically through the Welcome Desk.
A coherent and effective approach for students
The current Orientation Days format was introduced in 2022. Before that, each school organized its induction process for international students.
This consolidated and unified approach has resulted in a more coherent and efficient system for welcoming international students, strengthening their experience at EMLV and ESILV.
ESN DeVinci, an essential reference for exchange students
The mission of the Erasmus Student Network at De Vinci Higher Education Campus is to make international students’ stay in Paris an unforgettable souvenir. Under the Students Helping Students principle, ESN DeVinci welcomes international students to De Vinci Higher Education Schools (ESILV, EMLV, IIM).
Working closely with the school’s International Relations Department, ESN DeVinci brings students the best events and integration. ESN DeVinci believes every student’s international experience should be filled with excitement, cultural exchange, and lifelong friendships.
The association carefully curates events to immerse international students in French culture. For example, its social media accounts feature an agenda with the main events, and its website offers a “survival guide.”

The Role of ESN DeVinci and the Buddy System programme
The ESN DeVinci Association drives student activities, organizes outings, and facilitates exchanges between international students and associations. Orientation days also provide an opportunity to introduce the Buddy System programme.
This sponsorship system pairs exchange students with local students, creating valuable connections even before they arrive in France.
The Buddy System goes beyond logistical aspects by promoting cultural outings, learning about Parisian life, and establishing a friendly connection.
ESILV provides key information for international students
To better prepare international students for their arrival in France, ESILV provides them with valuable information about programs and opportunities.
Prior webinars reinforced welcome messages, introducing schools and programs, enabling students to familiarize themselves even before their arrival was present to provide valuable information about programs and opportunities.
The importance of international partnerships, offering students diverse choices, is emphasized. These collaborations strengthen the international dimension of schools, opening doors to innovation and the evolution of teaching methods.
Your Gateway to Studying and Living in France with The International Student Guide
De Vinci Higher Education provides personalized support to international students throughout admissions. This includes airport pickup, welcome week activities, assistance with accommodation, guidance on opening a bank account, support with medical procedures, and access to language courses.
