Marwan’s career at ESILV began with the work-study programme in Modelling and Numerical Mechanics to acquire the basics of engineering, designing, developing and sizing new products and complex systems in the aeronautics and automotive industries, then continuing at a world-renowned institution in the field of aerospace technology and management.

ESILV played a crucial role in my ESILV/Cranfield double degree by providing me with a solid grounding in modelling and numerical mechanics, which is essential for meeting Cranfield’s technical challenges.

During my years at ESILV, my involvement in associations has been essential. I have been involved in associations aligning with my personal and professional interests.
By joining LéoFly, the aerospace design and modelling association of the Pôle Léonard de Vinci, I climbed the ladder to become a strategic advisor. This experience enabled me to combine my passion for aeronautics with leadership and project management skills
As head of partnerships at the ESILV Entrepreneur Club, I also developed my professional network and understanding of entrepreneurial dynamics, which has been essential for my personal entrepreneurial projects.
Finally, I have also been active in Vinci Investments, the Pôle Léonard de Vinci finance association, to strengthen my interest and knowledge in finance and management.
This association aims to provide high-quality training for members directly or indirectly interested in finance and to popularise everything related to this field..
The international experience of a double degree at ESILV
In addition to the possibility of going abroad for an academic semester or a work placement, ESILV students can also go on a double degree programme in their final year.
ESILV served as a springboard for my double degree, equipping me with the technical skills, practical experience and entrepreneurial mindset needed to excel at Cranfield.
The skills and experience I have gained at ESILV will form the foundation on which I will build my future academic and professional success.
It is my ambition to apply to some of the most prestigious MBA programmes in Europe and the world, including the Harvard MBA 2+2 programme, to consolidate my achievements and make a significant contribution to the aerospace industry while continuing to develop my entrepreneurial initiatives.
Student projects at Cranfield
The group project I’ll work on this year in collaboration with Airbus is fascinating.
This project brings together students from three master’s options, Aircraft Design, Avionics Systems Design and Structural Design, to work together on a joint project.
This allows us to collaborate with student professionals from various fields and nationalities to simulate a natural industrial environment.
The project will evolve from the conceptual to the preliminary and detailed design phases. It will involve coordinating and managing project meetings, producing engineering drawings, and analyzing our design in detail.
It will test our ability to solve problems and coordinate the project individually and as a team. At the end, we will present and report our findings to a large panel of senior engineers from the industry.
