Kryptosphere de Vinci is a student-run organization aiming to raise awareness about Blockchain and fintech technology and connect students in engineering schools and professionals in the industry.
Classes on bitcoin and crypto-currencies going back to 2015, blockchain certification starting in 2016, Fintech major since 2020. The blockchain & cryptocurrency story goes on at ESILV with Kryptosphere de Vinci. The multi-tech student association counts over 400 members from 15 business and engineering schools, including ESILV and EMLV.
Kryptosphere de Vinci: engineering students passionate about Fintech technologies
Fintech student Nasreddine GRIHMA, class of 2023, president of Kryptosphere DeVinci, joined the association as soon as it opened in 2020. It seemed like a “no-brainer” to him.
“Participating actively in a blockchain club has enabled me to learn more about concepts that complement the notions covered in the Fintech major.
I was able to exchange with people who are also interested in these technologies and to deepen my knowledge on DeFi, NFTs, cryptocurrencies through pieces of training, events.”
Maxime DIENGER, class of 2024, chose ESILV “for its Fintech major in particular.”
“Kryptosphere offers a direct link between the courses taught by the school, the theory, and concrete applications within the Fintech universe.”
Nandy BA, class of 2022, majoring in Data & Artificial Intelligence, vice president of Vinci’s Kryptosphere, is actively involved in the crypto community in engineering school.
That’s an opportunity to discover “areas such as decentralized identity and Bitcoin’s lightning network” that might have otherwise slipped his mind.
“Our blockchain skills are recognized by companies in the field thanks to the knowledge developed within the association,” Nasreddine explains with pride.
A networking platform to generate career opportunities in the blockchain sphere
In the blockchain world, as in all fields, the network becomes the best friend of any young graduate. As Maxime sums it up, “beyond what Kryptosphere organizes, there’s what its network gives access to.”
“Conferences, hackathons, workshops with more experienced members of the association or with professionals in the field,” explains Nasreddine.
“We also participate in several renowned events in the Blockchain ecosystem such as ParisBlockchainWeekSummit, EthCC, Surfin’ Bitcoin, Ledger Op3n.”
“We have slack channels with all the branches in France. One of the channels is solely dedicated to employment: here, we share internship, work-study and hire offers in the blockchain industry accessible to all for technical and commercial profiles.”
The Kryptosphere community is a gold mine for students looking for a job in the world of blockchain and cryptocurrencies. While Nassredine was able to land a work-study position as a “blockchain architect” at IBM – ESILV corporate partner – thanks to the network, other students “are working for blockchain players: Ledger, Smart-Chain, Deskoin, Just Mining“…
“There are also a few entrepreneurs in the Blockchain arena with, for example, the creation of Morpho Labs founded by members of KRYPTOSPHERE® who just raised $1.35 million”, adds Nasreddine.
Nandy was contacted “by a successful DeFi protocol” that he may join soon if the current “negotiations” are successful.
” It is common for companies in the sector to offer places for their private events,” explains Maxime.” “Recently, I had the opportunity to attend the Ledger Open Paris event, hosted by the French company Ledger, which allowed me to attend presentations and round table discussions on the topic of Blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
But besides that, I could directly exchange in person with actors of the field, for example, with Rotem Hemo, Director of Product Management of the Algorand ecosystem.”
As we evolve within this ecosystem, taking advantage of and actively participating in the development of Kryptosphere, new career paths emerge.”
